Full sleeve versions used to be a winter-only oddity, produced in small numbers and rarely exported. They are now a standard part of most first-team ranges, and the resale market has followed.
What changed
Broadcast schedules pushed more fixtures into colder windows, and players started requesting long sleeves as default rather than exception. Manufacturers responded by making the full sleeve a parallel release rather than an afterthought.
What it means when buying
Full sleeve versions frequently use a slightly different fabric weight through the arm, and the cuff is fitted rather than loose. If you are between sizes, the sleeve is where a tight fit will be noticed first.
