Heat-pressed versus embroidered crests

What actually changes on the badge, and which one survives more wash cycles.

Every kit we sell states its crest construction, because it changes both how the shirt looks and how long it lasts.

Heat-pressed

The badge is a thin transfer bonded to the fabric under heat. It sits flush, weighs almost nothing, and does not interrupt airflow through the mesh. This is what players wear. The trade-off is that it is the first thing to fail if you tumble dry the shirt or iron directly over it.

Embroidered

The badge is stitched into the fabric with dense thread. It has physical relief, catches light, and is close to indestructible in a domestic wash. It also adds weight and stiffness over that patch of the shirt, which is why performance kits avoid it.

Which to buy

If the shirt is going to be worn to play in, heat-pressed. If it is going to be worn for years as everyday clothing and washed constantly, embroidered. Neither is the premium option, they are solutions to different problems.

Making either last

Wash cold, inside out, and hang dry. That advice is boring and it doubles the life of both constructions.
